Important Features
Of course, you can’t make a good buying decision without an understanding of the piano. With that in mind, let’s take a look at some key aspects of this piano.
Quality Furniture Stand
One of the first things about this piano that most buyers will notice is that it features a quality furniture stand.
In the world of keyboards, you don’t always find options that will look great in your home. The emphasis is usually on the tech itself, which is important, but also not the only thing buyers like in a piano.
Acoustic pianos are more than just instruments. They are integral to the décor of your home. The William Rhapsody 2 boasts a stand that will look great in any room.
Furniture stands don’t improve the performance of the piano at all, but they are easy on the eyes.
Buyers should also take note that the pedals are installed into the stand. As a result, the setup resembles that of an upright piano.
Weighted Keyboard
Weighted keys are a crucial component of any keyboard. No matter what piano you end up with, you should always try to ensure that they have this feature.
Acoustic keys are naturally weighted by the nature of their design. With keyboards, this component needs to be artificially created. Some keyboards do this, many don’t.
Weighted keys are valuable because they allow you to easily transition to an acoustic piano.
Regardless of whether or not you intend to play one in the near future or not, it’s always nice to have the ability.
Now, all of this said, the keys themselves were not perfect. We found that they felt a little plasticky. More expensive keyboards often imitate the ivory feel of real keys. Unfortunately, this piano doesn’t manage that.
Still, the weighted keyboard is a feature that most people will appreciate.
Sounds
You get twelve different sound options here. This includes four different piano tones, an organ sound, and several other instruments as well.
Unfortunately, we did find the actual quality of these sounds to be a little bit lacking. We’ll talk more about this a little bit later.
The issue though, as we saw it, was that the music lacked the nuance of an acoustic piano. When buying in this price range, that is understandable, though never appreciated.

Affordable
Buyers will also want to keep in mind that this piano is affordable. While no one would accuse it of being cheap, it is priced competitively relative to other keyboards.
If you are looking for an elegant keyboard at a good price, you could well have found it with the William Rhapsody 2.
Issues
Most of the problems that we found with this piano come with the price range. It does pretty much everything well, but nothing in a way that blows you away.
Let’s take the keyboard as an example. Yes, it is weighted, but the key coverings also feel very plasticky. We also noticed that the board wasn’t as responsive as some of the other options on the market.
In other words, it will produce the notes that you play, but without the nuance of an acoustic piano.
For the price range, you really shouldn’t expect more than this, but it’s always such a shame when you encounter it.
We also didn’t fall in love with the sound quality. Though you do get multiple settings here, we found that no matter what we did, the sound had an artificial quality to it.
If you use headphones, the music is a little bit more realistic. However, many people prefer not to use headphones when they play.
Whether or not these aspects of the piano should be a deal breaker for you, might depend on the type of buyer you are. But, understandably, no one likes to see issues of this nature.
However, if you are shopping with a moderate budget, you may need to accept that these are the sort of things you are likely to have to put up with.
The positive thing is that, despite these, the William Rhapsody is capable of producing beautiful music.
At the end of the day that is what really counts, right?
