Seydel Blues Session Steel Build
What makes an instrument on of the best of its kind? Well, there are a lot of factors and all of them vary depending on who you ask. For us, the quality of material and expert construction is what makes an instrument worthwhile. With this Blues Session 10-hole diatonic harp, you get orange ABS plastic comb, smooth metal cover plates, and corrosion-free stainless steel reeds.
Our favorite part is the steel reeds because it makes the instrument 5-10 times more durable than brass reeds. Design-wise, this model does not have that much to offer. In fact, a lot of people (including me) are not that keen on the orange comb, but it definitely will not make we do not want to play it. The cover plates are simple and comfortable so that even a beginner will have an easy time playing this mode. There are no sharp edges and are usually well rounded while the instrument itself is easy to open and clean up.
Seydel Blues Session Steel Sound
If you have not figured out by the point, this is a diatonic 10-hole harmonica in the key of C. While its looks do not really give that much away this instrument is a freaking gem when it comes to the sound. It has amazing highs and a mellow tone. The volume is great and you don’t have to put in a lot of effort to get the right tonality.
Once you pick this baby up you won’t want to put it down and, honestly, you won’t have to for a while because its ergonomic design and comfortable construction allows players to use it for hours on end and not get exhausted. This is an easy-to-play instrument that may allow you to produce amazing sound with great volume and almost no effort.
Brand Information
Conclusion
SEYDEL Blues Session Steel harmonica can be an amazing diatonic harp with a lot to offer. Ergonomic design, stainless reeds and polished plates are durable and produce a sound that is almost unmatched in its cost range. While we are usually not a big fan of the design (a.k.a. we just don’t like orange) this is a very easy issue to overlook in the entire context.
Would we recommend this instrument to intermediate players? Most surely! Beginners? Well, if you prefer a high-quality harp and don’t mind spending a little more onto it, then just do it since it will be one of your very best investments.
